Meet The Team
The Elegant Duck is a family run business spanning two generations with Jane’s Mother being the first person to have an Elegant Duck bathroom.
It is important to us to install our products within our own family’s homes as well as yours – to inspire confidence in our solutions.

Jane Ford
Having bought up their children Jane (John’s wife) was able to join the family company.
Jane collaborated with John focusing on serving private clients, coming up with bathroom designs and creating 3D images.
When the Elegant duck was launched Jane naturally progressed to Managing Director and now has a great team behind her.
John Ford
John is the founder of the John Ford Group – the parent company of The Elegant Duck.
John’s mother was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when he was a child so, from an early age, he understood what a huge difference simple home adaptations can make to older people and those with disabilities.
He started the John Ford Group back in 2008.
Chloe MacQueen (nee Ford)
Continuing the family feel ‘from our family to yours’, Chloe now works alongside Jane in The Elegant Duck.
Chloe started working in the family business around 2 years ago as a Customer Experience Manager, but with a background and passion for creative design she now works on the creative side of the company designing and producing images of your bespoke bathroom adaptation.

The Elegant Duck is based in Chelmsford, Essex and provides bespoke, non-clinical adapted bathrooms and wet rooms for the elderly & disabled.
Covering the majority of Essex and Suffolk including Chelmsford, Brentwood, Colchester, Ipswich, Felixstowe, Woodbridge and Bury St. Edmunds.
The Elegant Duck has transformed my bathroom into a beautiful practical space. I was concerned that any adaptations made would look like a hospital, but it doesn't! The whole team were professional and I highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to future proof their bathroom.
